Escape to Freight Island, the UK’s pioneering socially-distanced dining and entertainment concept, opened in June 2020. In just one month, we transformed a derelict space at Manchester’s Mayfield Depot into a 600-capacity outdoor venue. This project involved coordinating food vendors, bar operations, and technical production to create a vibrant new cultural hub in the city centre. Our responsibilities included site design, operational planning, licensing, risk assessments, COVID compliance, and more.
