In the winter of 2025, Engine No. 4 partnered with From The Fields and Manchester City Council (MCC) to deliver the city’s newest major festive tradition. Transforming Heaton Park into a world-class immersive light trail, the event welcomed over 100,000 visitors during its debut season, setting a new benchmark for winter activations in the North.
Building on the success of the Northern Lights brand in other UK cities, the Manchester edition required a sophisticated integration of high-end art installations and robust public event infrastructure. As the lead production and operations partner, Engine No. 4 was responsible for the end-to-end site delivery, ensuring that a mile-long immersive experience could operate seamlessly within the city’s largest public park.
